Tour details

Did you know there are 70 glaciers on the Mont Blanc Massif?  Most of them are high up and difficult to reach without mountaineering equipment and skills. However, this tour leads hikers right up to the edge of four epic glaciers.

You will walk the trail that crystal hunter Jacques Balmat and Doctor Marie-Gabriel Paccard took in 1786 for the first summit of Mont Blanc, and see the largest and longest glacier in France.

This is the ultimate trail that hikers dream of. Tough climbs to get the adrenalin pumping, sprinkled with historical significance, and epic views that will make all your friends jealous! It’s not every day you get to have lunch next to one of the most picturesque natural wonders of the world.

Note: Over the 3 days, this tour requires a gondola, cable car, and chairlift to be taken. Tickets can be purchased on the day when you arrive at the transport station.

Mer de Glace: The largest and longest glacier in France at 7.5 km / 4.7mi long and 200m / 660 ft deep.

Grand Balcon Nord: This trail runs above the Chamonix valley, providing hikers with views of the towering Mont Blanc Massif above.
